**From June 17 to 20, 2026, Réunion Island took center stage in Paris at VivaTech — Europe's largest tech event, with 180,000 visitors, 14,000 startups and 3,600 investors. Five Réunion companies represented the island under the regional banner: a presence that has become a ritual over four years, and is now producing concrete results.**

## Five sectors, five bets on the future

The Réunion delegation brought sharp expertise across high-value themes:

- **AgentVox** — AI-powered conversational agents for customer service automation
- **Eyako** — cybersecurity platform for IT security managers
- **FIT.ai** — AI technology predicting available parking spaces in real time
- **MediaBy** — AI-driven media buying platform
- **MoSITouch** — biotech mosquito control using sterile male release

Artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, smart cities, biotech: Réunion is betting on in-demand sectors — the ones investors are watching.

## Four years of presence, a rising ecosystem

Since 2023, **18 Réunion startups** have been supported at VivaTech. The result: "some subsequently raised several million euros," according to organizers. Attendance at VivaTech acts as a catalyst — international exposure, meetings with funds, and image boost for the island.

The delegation was backed by Réunion Innovation, French Tech Réunion, Digital Réunion and Village by CA, with support from the Région. A support ecosystem that is structuring itself around a clear objective: making Réunion a tech territory visible on a global scale.

## Why it matters

Réunion embodies a paradox: one of Europe's highest unemployment rates (18% in Q1 2026) alongside a tech startup ecosystem in full acceleration. VivaTech is the interface between these two realities. Each Réunion startup that raises funds in Paris or lands an international contract creates skilled employment on the island — precisely the kind of jobs it structurally needs. Réunion tech is not merely copying mainland French models: it brings a tropical, island, multicultural vision — an angle that is beginning to capture the attention of global investors.
