**Launched on 30 July 2026, the KomSaE network brings together 17 entrepreneurship support structures in Comoros for the first time, backed by €6 million mobilised by the European Union. It is a bet on youth and on the archipelago's green, blue and digital economy.**

## A network ending fragmentation

Until now, Comorian entrepreneur support organisations operated in isolation, without coordination or shared standards. KomSaE — launched from the Maison de l'emploi in Moroni — brings 17 organisations under one umbrella, with a mandate to pool resources, harmonise support practices and build local capacity. The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) oversees the initiative, funded at €6 million by the European Union.

## Tangible results already on the board

Even before the network's formal launch, the 16 member structures and 70 accompanied enterprises contributed to the creation of more than 1,000 jobs in the preceding year — a result all the more significant given the sector's structural fragility. KomSaE aims to build on this momentum through shared training, joint organisation and support for innovative initiatives.

## Three priority economies

The network focuses on three sectors considered transformative for Comoros: the green economy, the blue economy and the digital economy. These three axes align with the development priorities defined under EU-Comoros cooperation and reflect a vision of economic empowerment for Comorian youth — the majority of whom are under 25.

## Why it matters

Comoros faces a paradox: genuine entrepreneurial potential and dynamic youth, but a long-insufficient support ecosystem. KomSaE fills this institutional gap with robust external funding. If the network delivers on its promises, it could become a model for other small island developing states in the Indian Ocean region looking to structure their own entrepreneurial ecosystems.
